Inauguration of Paras Hospital

Paras Health Breaks New Ground with First Hospital in Punjab’s Ludhiana, Marking Its 10th Facility Nationwide

In a powerful step towards reshaping healthcare in Northern India, Paras Health has laid the foundation for its first-ever hospital in Punjab.

This new 500-bed multispecialty facility in Ludhiana is not only set to enhance medical access for residents but also marks Paras Health’s expansion as a national healthcare player, bringing its total hospital count to 10 across the country.

6Scheduled to open in fiscal year 2028, the Ludhiana hospital reflects Paras Health’s commitment to transforming healthcare in Tier 2 and 3 cities, especially those often underserved. With modern technology, a range of specialized medical services, and a promise of affordability, Paras Health aims to empower the people of Punjab with quality care close to home.

A Vision of Better Care

Commenting on this pivotal development, Dr. Dharminder Nagar, Managing Director of Paras Health, shared, “Since opening our doors in 2006, Paras Health has been driven by a singular purpose: to make quality healthcare accessible to all.

With this new hospital in Ludhiana, we’re bridging gaps in advanced medical care for the people of Punjab, ensuring they don’t have to travel far to receive top-notch treatment.”

Dr. Nagar’s words underline Paras Health’s ethos, which goes beyond offering medical services—it’s about building connections with communities and ensuring health equity for everyone, regardless of their location.

Expanding Specialized Care Across India

At its core, Paras Health focuses on offering a broad range of specialties, including cardiac care, oncology, neurosciences, gastroenterology, orthopedics, and joint replacement. In addition, the organization’s transplant programs provide advanced liver, kidney, and bone marrow procedures that are typically available only in larger urban centers.

This newest facility is expected to push Paras Health’s total bed capacity from 2,135 (as of March 2024) to 2,935 by 2029, reflecting a substantial boost in their ability to serve more patients across North India, Bihar, and Jharkhand.
