Venus Remedies Implements NSDC Certification to Build Future-Ready Workforce
Venus Remedies Limited, a global pharmaceutical leader, has marked a significant milestone in workforce development by introducing the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) certification program within the organization. This pioneering initiative reflects the company’s commitment to fostering a skilled, future-ready workforce and aligning with India’s national skill development goals.
A total of 128 employees from 30 departments, including Quality Assurance, Research & Development, and Administration, successfully participated in the certification process. The program, facilitated through Venus Remedies’ Skill Development Department, involved tailored training modules, mock assessments, and mentorship sessions to prepare employees for the NSDC certification exams.
Highlighting the importance of this collaboration, Mr. Akshansh Chaudhary, Executive Director and Chief Technical Officer at Venus Remedies, said, “Our collaboration with the NSDC is a testament to our pledge on technology and talent building. Through this initiative, we are not just upskilling our employees but also empowering them to lead in a rapidly evolving pharmaceutical landscape. By promoting a culture of continuous learning and upskilling, we aim to strengthen employee contributions to organisational growth and innovation in the process of preparing our talented workforce for the fourth Industrial Revolution. This is an important step towards building a future-ready workforce capable of meeting global industry demands.”
The initiative has already borne fruit, with employees delivering exceptional performances, including a perfect score of 200 in the National Occupational Standards (NOS) assessment. Venus Remedies plans to leverage insights from the program to address skill gaps, design targeted training modules, and enhance succession planning by aligning skills with leadership roles. The company is also considering linking NSDC certifications to career progression and appraisals to establish clear growth pathways for employees.
In alignment with national initiatives like the Skill India Mission, Atmanirbhar Bharat, and the National Education Policy 2020, Venus Remedies’ initiative underscores its dedication to promoting lifelong learning and fostering a self-reliant workforce. “This initiative is a crucial step toward contributing to the government’s vision of a skilled and self-reliant India,” added Mr. Chaudhary.
Looking ahead, Venus Remedies plans to expand its efforts through advanced certifications, ongoing training programs, and establishing a centralized skill repository to match talent with opportunities. By doing so, the company aims to solidify its position as an industry leader while empowering employees to navigate the challenges of a dynamic pharmaceutical landscape.
