NutriPlus App Bridges the Gap Between Everyday Choices and Holistic Wellness

Britannia NutriChoice has made a bold step towards simplifying wellbeing for everyone. With the release of NutriPlus, a mobile wellness tracking software created in collaboration with Singapore-based Aktivo Labs, the brand has made health monitoring more accessible and smartphone driven, eliminating the need for pricey gear.

Within a year of its inception, the app had over 1.5 lakh sign-ins and can be accessed by just scanning a pack of Britannia NutriChoice biscuits. Its popularity indicates a clear and growing demand for health solutions that are easy to use, evidence-based, and customised for Indian users.

NutriPlus generates a Nutri+ Score based on a science-backed algorithm that assesses a user's daily habits, such as a step count, sleep quality, water consumption, and fibre intake. According to app data from the previous year, the average Nutri+ Score rose from 60 to 62, showing a minor but significant improvement in overall wellness among users. There has also been a 10% increase in daily steps, a 16% increase in exercise time, and an improvement in average sleep length (from 6 hours 46 minutes to 7 hours 08 minutes).

"NutriPlus has simplified wellness tracking for everyone. By eliminating the need for wearables or complex tracking systems, we've enabled more individuals to incorporate tiny, significant steps into their daily routines," said Archana Balaraman, Britannia's General Manager of Marketing. "As we continue evolving NutriPlus, Britannia NutriChoice remains committed to helping individuals embrace better wellness habits with ease."

According to health experts, making simple lifestyle adjustments might have long-term benefits. According to a WHO report, poor physical activity causes well over 5 million deaths worldwide each year. However, tools like NutriPlus, which encourage users to practise constant self-improvement, can play an important role in bridging awareness and action—especially in a country where one in every four persons suffers from lifestyle-related diseases such as obesity or hypertension (ICMR, 2023).

NutriPlus has just incorporated a personalised diet chart tool to help with nutritional objectives, elevating it beyond a tracker and into a comprehensive wellness companion.

While applications like NutriPlus cannot replace professional medical advice, they do serve as strong reminders that wellness begins with awareness. Britannia may have unlocked the formula to making health a household habit by combining technology with ordinary food decisions.
