Xanthinol Nicotinate
It enhances blood flow to the peripheral and cerebral tissues. Nutritive micro-circulation is enhanced by increasing the erythrocyte elasticity, improving the flow properties of the blood and reducing the peripheral resistance while simultaneously improving cardiac function. It improves cerebral metabolism and consequently cerebral function by increasing the glucose uptake across the blood-brain barrier and increase in glucose and oxygen utilisation in the brain cells. It also depresses raised serum lipid and fibrinogen levels and inhibits platelet aggregation.Peripheral vascular disease. Disordered cerebral function. Hyperlipidaemia.
