Acetyl Salicylic Acid
Acetyl Salicylic Acid, widely known as Aspirin, is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to reduce pain, fever, and inflammation. It is also commonly used in low doses to reduce the risk of heart attacks and strokes by inhibiting blood clotting.-Relief of mild to moderate pain (e.g., headaches, toothaches, menstrual cramps) -Reduction of fever -Relief from inflammatory conditions (e.g., arthritis) -Prevention of cardiovascular events (e.g., heart attacks, strokes) in individuals at risk
-Adults: Typically, 300-1000 mg every 4-6 hours as needed, not exceeding 4 grams per day. -Cardiovascular prevention: Usually 75-325 mg daily, as prescribed by a healthcare provider.
-Allergy to aspirin or other NSAIDs -History of gastrointestinal bleeding or ulcers -Severe kidney or liver disease -Active bleeding disorders -Third trimester of pregnancy
-Use with caution in patients with a history of gastrointestinal issues, asthma, or liver disease. -Monitor for signs of bleeding or allergic reactions. -Discontinue use before elective surgery or invasive procedures.
