Acotiamide

It is a prokinetic, which is an antagonist of muscarinic M1 and M2 receptors, as well as an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor.

Indications

Functional dyspepsia, bloating in the upper abdomen and symptoms of postprandial distress syndrome.

Dosage

Oral; 100mg three times a day before meal.

Contra-Indications

Hypersensitivity.

Special Precautions

Paediatric: data not sufficient. Pregnancy: data not sufficient. Lactation: data not sufficient. Elderly: Use with caution.

Side Effects

Headache and Diarrhea.
