Amaltas
Amaltas is also known as cassia fistula. As per Ayurveda it exhibits hepatoprotective, antipyretic, cardioprotective carminative antioxidant, antitussive, antimicrobial, gastroprotective, antiulcer, anti-inflammatory, laxative, antidiabetic, and antitumor activities. It helps to maintain tridosha.Constipation, loss of appetite, gout, piles, acidity, arthritis, ulcer, diabetes, sore throat, eczema, ringworm infections, cold, and cough.
The standard dose for amaltas powder or churna is 5-10 grams, and the dose for decoction is 50-100 ml.
Allergic reaction.
It is not recommended to use amaltas during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Gastrointestinal discomfort, pain, vomiting , nausea, and fatigue.
