ANTI-ACNE DRUGS

Anti-acne drugs are medications designed to treat and manage acne. They work by targeting various factors that contribute to acne development, such as excess oil production, bacterial growth, and inflammation. These drugs are available in various forms, including topical treatments, oral medications, and combination therapies. Antibiotics, antiseptics and anti-inflammatory drugs are used to treat acne problems. Tetracycline antibiotics and macrolide antibiotics are commonly used as oral medication and azelaic acid and salicylic acid are used as topical preparations in the treatment. Some anti-androgen agents and isotretinoin are also used.

Indications

Contra-Indications
