Chlorpheniramine maleate
Chlorpheniramine maleate is an antihistamine used to relieve symptoms of allergic reactions, such as runny nose, sneezing, itchy eyes, and throat. It is commonly used to treat allergic rhinitis, hay fever, and other allergic conditions.-Allergic rhinitis (hay fever) -Allergic conjunctivitis (itchy or watery eyes) -Urticaria (hives) -Other allergic conditions
-Adults: Typically 4 mg every 4 to 6 hours, not exceeding 24 mg per day. -Children (6-12 years): Typically 2 mg every 4 to 6 hours, not exceeding 12 mg per day. -Children under 6 years: Dosage should be determined by a physician.
-Hypersensitivity to Chlorpheniramine or any component of the formulation -Newborns and premature infants -Patients with severe liver impairment -Use with caution in individuals with urinary retention, closed-angle glaucoma, or severe gastrointestinal obstruction
-Use with caution in patients with asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), or other respiratory conditions. -May cause drowsiness; caution should be exercised when driving or operating machinery. -Avoid use in combination with alcohol or other central nervous system depressants.

-May enhance the effects of other central nervous system depressants, including alcohol. -Use with caution when combined with other antihistamines or medications with anticholinergic properties. -May interact with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) and increase the risk of adverse effects.
