Clobetasol Propionate
For the treatment of more resistant dermatoses such as psoriasis (excluding wide spread plaque psoriasis), recalcitrant eczema, lichn planus, discoid lupus, erythematosus and other conditions which do not respond satisfactory to less active steroids.-Treatment of inflammatory and pruritic manifestations of corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses. -Conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, and dermatitis.
Apply a thin layer to affected area(s) once or twice daily, as directed by a healthcare provider.
Rosacea, acne vulgaris and perioral dermatitis, primary cutaneous viral infections (e.g. Herpes simplex, chickenpox).
Systemic absorption topical corticosteroids has resulted in reversible hypothalmic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis suppression, manifestation of Cushing's syndrome, hyperglycemia and glycosuria in some patients, suppress the HPA axis in doses as low as 2 g per day. Children (under 12 yrs. of age): Not recommended.
Burning and stinging sensatin, less frequent adverse reactions were itching skin, atrophy, cracking and fissuring of the skin, erythema, folliculitis, skin atrophy and telangiectasia.
No significant drug interactions reported with topical use. However, inform healthcare providers of all medications being taken, including over-the-counter and herbal supplements.
