ENTAMYCIN
ENTAMYCIN is an antibiotic used to treat various bacterial infections. It works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, thereby stopping the growth of bacteria.ENTAMYCIN is indicated for the treatment of: -Respiratory tract infections -Skin infections -Urinary tract infections -Gastrointestinal infections -Bone and joint infections
-Adults: 250-500 mg every 6-8 hours. -Children: Dosage should be adjusted according to weight and infection severity.
ENTAMYCIN should not be used in individuals with: -Hypersensitivity to erythromycin or other macrolide antibiotics -Severe liver impairment -History of jaundice or hepatic dysfunction
-Use with caution in patients with liver disease. -Monitor for potential allergic reactions. -Adjust dosage for patients with renal impairment.
-Nausea and vomiting -Diarrhea -Abdominal pain -Rash -Liver enzyme abnormalities
