Ferrous Gluconate is an iron supplement used to treat or prevent low blood levels of iron (e.g., for anemia or during pregnancy). -Hypersensitivity to ferrous gluconate or any of its components -Hemochromatosis -Hemolytic anemia -Peptic ulcer disease -Ulcerative colitis

-Antacids and calcium supplements may reduce the absorption of iron. -Iron supplements can decrease the effectiveness of certain antibiotics, such as tetracycline and quinolones. -Vitamin C may increase iron absorption.
