INACTIVATED INFLUENZA VACCINE (SPLIT VIRION)

Influenza virus propogated on eggs, purified, split by Triton treatment, inactivated by formaldehyde solution, containing 15 mg of haemogglutunin of each of the chosed strains.

Indications

Influenza in subjects showing a higher risk of associated complications.

Dosage

Adults and children from 35 months :0.5ml. Children from 6 months to 35 months : one 0.25ml dose. For children (under 8 years of age) who have not been infected or vaccinated previously, a second dose should be injected after an interval of at least 4 weeks.

Contra-Indications

Allergy to eggs, chicken protein or any constituent of the vaccine, in case of febrile illness or acute infection.

Special Precautions

Inform doctor in event of immunodepression, known hypersensitivity to neomycin.
