PREDNICARBATE

It is the fourth generation halogen free topical steroid.

Indications

Relief of inflammatory and pruritic manifestations of corticosterid responsive dermatoses e.g. atopic dermatitis, seborrhoeic dermatitis, certain types of psoriasis and intertrigo.


Dosage

Apply on affected skin areas in a thin layer, once daily. If necessary may be increased to twice daily. Usage should not exceed 4 weeks.


Contra-Indications

hypersensitive to prednicarbate. skin reactions resulting from vaccination, cutaneous manifestation of tuberculosis, syphilis, viral infections (chicken pox etc.), rosacea or perioral dermatitis.


Special Precautions

Avoid use in infants and application must be limited to minimum dose. Contact of prednicarbate with conjunctival sac over a course of time can result in increased intraocuar pressure. Pregnancy and lactation: Contraindicated.


Side Effects

Burning sensation, itching, folliculitis or allergic skin reactions like burning, reddening or weeping may occur.
