PROTAMINE ZINC
Protamine Zinc is an insulin formulation used primarily for the management of diabetes mellitus. -The dosage of Protamine Zinc should be individualized based on the patient’s needs and glycemic control. -Typically administered via subcutaneous injection. -Dosage adjustments may be necessary based on blood glucose levels and patient response.
-Hypersensitivity to insulin or any of the components of the formulation. -Severe hypoglycemia or episodes of hypoglycemic coma.
-Monitor blood glucose levels regularly. -Adjust dosage in case of changes in weight, diet, or physical activity. -Use with caution in patients with renal or hepatic impairment. -Be aware of the risk of hypoglycemia, particularly if skipping meals or engaging in excessive physical activity.
