Pseudoephedrine Hcl, Chlorpheniramine Maleate, Paracetamol

This combination of medications is designed to relieve symptoms of allergies, the common cold, and flu, such as nasal congestion, runny nose, sneezing, body aches, and fever. Pseudoephedrine is a decongestant, Chlorpheniramine is an antihistamine, and Paracetamol (acetaminophen) is a pain reliever and fever reducer.

Indications

-Allergic rhinitis -Common cold -Sinus congestion -Flu-like symptoms -Fever -Headache


Dosage

-Adults and children over 12 years: 1 tablet/capsule every 4-6 hours. Do not exceed 4 doses in 24 hours. -Children under 12: Consult a doctor before use.


Contra-Indications

-Hypersensitivity to any of the active ingredients -Severe hypertension -Severe coronary artery disease -Patients using MAO inhibitors within the past 14 days -Glaucoma, urinary retention


Special Precautions

-Use with caution in patients with hypertension, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, or heart disease. -Avoid alcohol as it may increase the drowsiness effect of Chlorpheniramine. -Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult a doctor before use.

-Drowsiness -Dry mouth -Dizziness -Nausea -Increased heart rate -Insomnia -Nervousness or restlessness -Allergic reactions (e.g., rash, swelling)


Drug Interactions

-MAO inhibitors: May cause hypertensive crisis. -Alcohol: Increases the sedative effect of Chlorpheniramine. -Other antihistamines, sedatives, or tranquilizers: May enhance drowsiness. -Beta-blockers and antihypertensive agents: Pseudoephedrine may reduce their efficacy. -Warfarin: Paracetamol may enhance its anticoagulant effect.
