Ramipril
It is a highly lipophilic, long acting ACE inhibitor.It effectively reduces both supine and standing blood pressure without significant alteration in the pulse rate.Hypertension and cardiac failure.
Hypertension:2.5mg/day,Max:10mg/day. Cardiac failure:1.25mg/day,increased to 2.5mg once daily, Max:10mg/day
Hypersensitivity,bilateral renal artery stenosis, pregnancy, lactation, concurrent use of K+ sparing diuretics.
Pregnancy, Lactation,renal & hepatic impairment.
Hypotension, renal impairment, angioedema, cough, hyperkalemia.
Concomitant admn of diuretics lead to serious hypotension. With potassium-sparing diuretics dangerous hypokalaemia may result.
