SENNA
Senna is a natural laxative derived from the leaves or pods of the senna plant. It is used to treat constipation by stimulating bowel movements.-Chronic constipation -Bowel preparation before diagnostic procedures
-Adults: Typically, 17.2 mg to 34.4 mg of senna extract, taken once or twice daily. -Children (6-12 years): 8.6 mg to 17.2 mg of senna extract, taken once or twice daily. -Children (under 6 years): Use is generally not recommended unless directed by a healthcare provider.
-Known hypersensitivity to senna or any of its components -Acute abdominal pain of unknown origin -Inflammatory bowel disease (e.g., Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis) -Gastrointestinal obstruction
-Use with caution in patients with a history of gastrointestinal disorders. -Prolonged use can lead to dependency and diminished bowel function. -Avoid in pregnancy and breastfeeding unless prescribed by a healthcare professional.
