-Hypersensitivity to iodine or iodide -Pregnancy, unless benefits outweigh risks -Severe renal impairment
-Use cautiously in patients with a history of thyroid disease. -Monitor thyroid function and renal status regularly. -Inform patients about potential effects on thyroid function.
-Nausea -Vomiting -Allergic reactions (rare)
-Antithyroid medications may interact with Sodium Iodide. -Lithium may affect thyroid function and interact with Sodium Iodide.
