Terfenadine is an antihistamine used to relieve allergy symptoms such as hay fever and urticaria (hives). It works by blocking histamine, a substance in the body that causes allergic symptoms.

Indications

-Allergic rhinitis (hay fever) -Urticaria (chronic hives)


Dosage

Contra-Indications

-Hypersensitivity to terfenadine or any component of the formulation. -Concomitant use with certain medications that can interact adversely (e.g., ketoconazole, erythromycin).
