WHO Webinar Unveils Global Estimates and Targets for Physical Activity Reductions by 2030

Join the WHO Department of Health Promotion's Physical Activity unit for a global webinar unveiling new estimates of physical inactivity worldwide. Scheduled for June 26, 2024, this event marks the release of comprehensive data, including forecasts for 2030, assessing progress towards the Global Action Plan on Physical Activity's target of a 15% reduction in inactivity.


The webinar, featuring speakers such as Tessa Strain, Gretchen Stevens, and Rudiger Krech, will present findings published in The Lancet Global Health. It aims to stimulate discussions on policy implications and necessary actions to achieve global targets. Moderated by Fiona Bull and Leanne Riley from WHO, the panel will include experts from UN Women, the NCD Alliance, and representatives from Qatar's Ministry of Health.
