Solex Energy, a trailblazer in India's solar energy sector, has announced an ambitious investment of over Rs 8,000 crores as part of its visionary “Vision 2030” strategy. This transformative plan is aimed at cementing Solex’s position as a fully integrated solar powerhouse, with significant expansions in manufacturing capabilities and technological innovations.

Under this strategic initiative, Solex Energy is set to develop a new cell manufacturing facility, starting with an initial capacity of 2 GW and scaling up to an impressive 5 GW. The company will also enhance its module manufacturing capacity from the current 1.5 GW to a staggering 15 GW. The growth plan will see the expansion of the workforce to over 25,000 employees, driving India’s solar sector to new heights.

Speaking on the occasion, Chetan Shah, Chairman & Managing Director of Solex Energy Limited, highlighted the significance of this milestone. “Vision 2030 represents a key step in our journey to becoming a fully integrated solar company. With the introduction of N-Type TOPcon Technology featuring Rectangular Cells, Solex Energy is raising the bar for efficiency and reliability.”

Revolutionary Tapi-R Series to Redefine Solar Energy Generation

A cornerstone of Solex’s Vision 2030 is the launch of the state-of-the-art Tapi-R series. Incorporating N-Type TOPcon Technology and an innovative rectangular cell design, the series promises to redefine standards in solar energy generation across the nation. Named after the Tapi River, symbolizing vitality in the region where Solex is headquartered, the Tapi-R series is poised to set new benchmarks in power efficiency and reliability.

The new Tapi-R series boasts a cell size of 182.2 x 210 mm and 132 Half-Cut cells, delivering up to 625 WP of power with an exceptional 23.14% module efficiency. It is specifically designed for large-scale solar projects in harsh environments such as deserts and barren lands, featuring a bifacial rate of approximately 80% and a power temperature coefficient of -0.28%/°C. The series includes an extensive 12-year product warranty and a 30-year linear performance guarantee, offering the lowest annual degradation in the industry.

“With the launch of the Tapi-R series, we are proud to be the first Indian manufacturer to offer modules with such advanced technology,” Shah noted. “This series showcases our relentless commitment to innovation and quality.”
