Nova IVF hosts Fertility Conference in Mumbai

Mumbai: Nova IVF Fertility Hosts Fertility Conference; Showcases Breakthroughs in Assisted Reproductive Technology

Nova IVF Fertility, a renowned name in fertility care, organized a high-profile conference at the Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai, focusing on advancements in assisted reproductive technology (ART). The event attracted 200-250 leading gynecologists and fertility specialists, including the esteemed Padma Shri Dr. Indira Hinduja and Dr. Suvarna Khadilkar, President of the Mumbai Obstetric & Gynaecological Society (MOGS).

Debunking IVF Myths

A common misconception addressed at the conference is that in vitro fertilization (IVF) guarantees success on the first attempt. Experts emphasized that IVF outcomes depend on numerous factors, including the quality of sperm and eggs, the age of the woman, lifestyle choices, and the latest laboratory innovations.

Dr. Rohit Gutgutia, Medical Director at Nova IVF Fertility, highlighted the role of advancements in boosting success rates:

"Thanks to technological advancements, lab innovations, and comprehensive lifestyle support, our success rates in IVF have significantly improved. Success rates, which were around 40-50%, are now reaching up to 70% in some cases across our centers."

Dr. Gutgutia further stressed the importance of healthy lifestyle choices such as a balanced diet, regular exercise, and stress management in enhancing fertility outcomes.

Tackling Repeated IVF Failures

The conference also delved into the challenges of repeated IVF failures, often attributed to factors like age, genetic disorders, and other underlying health issues.

Dr. Sulbha Arora, Clinical Director at Nova IVF Fertility, Mumbai, shed light on the issue:

"Approximately 1 in 10 patients experience repeated IVF failure, particularly women over 35, who face a natural decline in egg quality and quantity. Advanced techniques like preimplantation genetic testing (PGT) and the ERA test (Endometrial Receptivity Analysis) can significantly improve implantation chances by identifying the best embryos and the optimal timing for transfer."

She also discussed other solutions, including antioxidant therapies, uterine assessments, advanced sperm selection methods, and immunological treatments to enhance implantation success.

Key Insights from Experts

The conference featured insights from Nova IVF Fertility’s specialists, including Dr. Sandeep Mane, Dr. Ritu Hinduja, Dr. Sneha Sathe, Dr. Avantika Vaze, and Dr. Soumya Shetty.

Dr. Sujatha Ramakrishnan, Nova IVF’s Head of Embryology, delivered a session on the vital aspects of embryology that gynecologists should understand to optimize fertility treatments.

Shared Responsibility in Infertility

The conference also emphasized that infertility is a shared responsibility, affecting both men and women equally. By fostering a deeper understanding and offering advanced solutions, Nova IVF aims to support couples navigating the challenges of infertility.
