NTPC Dadri Hosts Free Eye Camp, Registers 339 Patients
A four-day free eye camp organized by NTPC Dadri under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives began on December 4, 2024, with the registration of 339 patients, including 194 women and 145 men, from nearby villages. The camp was inaugurated by NTPC Dadri’s Chief General Manager, Mr. K.C. Muralidharan, who lit the ceremonial lamp to mark the occasion.
In his welcome address, NTPC Dadri’s Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Dr. Alok Kumar, highlighted that this is the 31st such initiative by NTPC Dadri. "As in previous years, we are witnessing an overwhelming response from residents of nearby communities who rely on this camp for quality eye care," he said.
The camp features a collaborative effort between NTPC Dadri Hospital, led by Dr. Kumar, and a specialist team from Eye Care Eye Hospital, Noida. Patients underwent thorough examinations, and those requiring lens implantation surgeries will receive treatment at the hospital.
The event was attended by senior officials, department heads, and members of Jagriti Samaj, a community organization.
Over the next three days, the team from Eye Care Eye Hospital will carry out surgeries and provide post-operative care. The camp is set to conclude on December 7, 2024.
This initiative is being spearheaded by NTPC Dadri’s CSR team under the guidance of Mrs. Shweta, Deputy General Manager (Human Resources), and Mr. Ritesh Bhardwaj, Deputy General Manager (Human Resources), along with Dr. Kumar.
The free eye camp exemplifies NTPC Dadri’s commitment to improving healthcare access in its neighboring communities through its CSR endeavors.
