Sarvodaya Hospital Joins Hands with Oncidium Foundation to Offer Free Advanced Cancer Therapy for Underprivileged Patients

In a landmark initiative aimed at transforming cancer care accessibility in India, Sarvodaya Hospital, Faridabad, has partnered with the Oncidium Foundation, a global leader in promoting Radio Theranostics. This collaboration marks Sarvodaya Healthcare as the first institution in India to offer sponsored access to advanced nuclear therapy for underprivileged cancer patients.

Radio Theranostics, an advanced cancer treatment combining diagnostic imaging and targeted radiation therapy, allows for the precise identification and destruction of cancer cells while sparing healthy tissues. This cutting-edge technology is set to improve outcomes for patients who have traditionally been beyond the reach of such specialized care.

Already, three patients — two from India and one from Bangladesh — have received life-changing treatment through this partnership, with many more expected to benefit in the coming months.

Speaking about this milestone, Mr. Amit Aggarwal, Director of Sarvodaya Healthcare, emphasized the hospital’s mission to extend innovative treatments to those who need them most. “We are committed to making cutting-edge nuclear therapy accessible to those who need it most — offering hope where it matters. Through this partnership with the Oncidium Foundation, we are not just treating cancer; we are creating access, delivering hope, and transforming lives,” he said.

In a move that further highlights this commitment, Dr. Swagat Dash, Head of Department and Senior Consultant – Nuclear Medicine at Sarvodaya Hospital, has been appointed as India’s first Oncidium Foundation Ambassador. “I am deeply honored to serve as the first Oncidium Foundation Ambassador in India. This partnership is a crucial step towards ensuring that more underprivileged patients have access to the life-saving benefits of Radio Theranostics. I am dedicated to raising awareness and facilitating access to this advanced treatment for those who need it most,” said Dr. Dash.

The partnership between Sarvodaya Healthcare and the Oncidium Foundation underscores a shared vision to bridge the gap in cancer care by making advanced, targeted therapies accessible irrespective of patients’ socioeconomic backgrounds. By combining global expertise with compassionate local care, this initiative stands as a beacon of hope for cancer patients who previously lacked access to such progressive treatments.
