They are employed for the treatment of secondary infections of skin such as eczema. Various categories are aminoglycosides, tetracyclines, Fusidic acid and its salts, Nitrofurazone, Sulphonamides. ANTISEPTICS : Wound disinfection, routine antisepsis in obstetrics, wards & operation theatres. To disinfect hospital vessels, bath cleansing & sterile storage of surgical instruments.
