Cetirizine Hydrochloride
Cetirizine Hydrochloride is an antihistamine used to alleviate allergy symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, itchy eyes, and hives. It works by blocking histamine, a substance in the body that causes allergic reactions.-Allergic rhinitis (seasonal and perennial) -Chronic urticaria (hives) -Allergic conjunctivitis
-Adults and children over 12 years: 10 mg once daily. -Children (6-12 years): 5 mg twice daily. -Children (2-6 years): 2.5 mg twice daily.
-Hypersensitivity to Cetirizine or any of its components. -Severe renal impairment (consult a healthcare provider).
-Use with caution in patients with liver impairment. -Caution in patients with a history of seizures. -Avoid alcohol and other central nervous system depressants.
-Drowsiness -Dry mouth -Headache -Dizziness -Fatigue -Nausea
-May interact with alcohol and other CNS depressants. -Possible interaction with other antihistamines and drugs that affect liver enzymes.
