Levofloxacin
Levofloxacin is a synthetic antibacterial agent of the fluoroquinolone class and is the S(-) enantiomer of the racemic drug substance ofloxacin.Acute sinusitis, Acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis,Community-acquired pneumonia, Complicated urinary tract infections including pyelonephritis, Skin and soft tissue infections.
Once or twice daily.Maximum duration of treatment of 14 days.
Hypersensitivity Epilepsy, history of tendon disorders, in children or growing adolescents.
Clostridium difficile-associated diseases, Tendinitis,Patients predisposed to seizures, Patients with renal impairment, Prevention of photosensitisation.
Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headache, constipation, difficulty sleeping (insomnia), dizziness, abdominal pain
Iron salts, Magnesium or aluminium-containing antacids, Sucralfate, Theophylline, fenbufen or similar non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
