Bengaluru: Rainbow Children's Hospital to host 2nd Edition of Free Pediatric Orthopedic Medical Camp

Bangaluru based Rainbow Children's Hospital has announced the launch of the second edition of its impactful initiative, 'Mission Pragati.' This initiative is a free pediatric orthopedic medical camp organized in honor of World Disability Day. Mission Pragati aims to make a positive difference in the lives of children who face orthopedic challenges due to economic constraints.

The camp offers free consultations, surgeries, and comprehensive care, reflecting the significant impact of compassionate healthcare. These services will be provided at Rainbow Children’s Hospital, Marathahalli branch. Dr. Jayanth Sampath, Senior Consultant Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon; Dr. Girish Kumar, Consultant Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon; and Dr. Abhilash Srivatsav, Consultant in Paediatric Orthopaedics, collectively bring 40 years of invaluable experience to the initiative.

Dr. Jayanth Sampath emphasised the moral imperative of initiatives like Mission Pragati in a world where access to specialised healthcare is often a privilege. He highlighted the importance of ensuring that no child is denied a chance at a healthy life due to economic circumstances.

Rainbow Children's Hospitals, dedicated to paediatric orthopaedics, sees the second edition of Mission Pragati as a reaffirmation of their commitment to providing transformative care. Mr. Nithyananda P., Vice President of Rainbow Children’s Hospitals, Bengaluru, underscored the hospital's determination to ensure that every child not only receives medical attention but also a future full of possibilities.

Dr. Girish Kumar expressed the broader impact of the initiative, stating that it goes beyond just mending bones; it's about restoring the fabric of lives affected by adversity. Dr. Abhilash Srivatsav added that through Mission Pragati, they aim to ensure that every child, regardless of their economic circumstances, deserves the opportunity to live a fulfilling life with endless possibilities.

Recognising the limited availability of specialised orthopaedic care in government hospitals, Mission Pragati focuses on economically disadvantaged children. The initiative covers the entire spectrum of treatment, from admission to surgery and follow-ups. It reflects Rainbow Children's Hospital's commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of children facing orthopaedic challenges and underscores the belief that every child deserves quality healthcare, irrespective of their economic background.
