Free Health check-up camp

Free Health Camp Brings Critical Care to Women Laborers and Children in Kharadi on World Health Day

In celebration of World Health Day 2025, themed “Healthy Beginnings, Hopeful Futures,” Motherhood Hospital, Kharadi, in collaboration with the Kharadi Women's Organisation, organized a free health check-up camp aimed at improving maternal and child health among underserved communities. Held on April 7, the initiative focused on early detection and timely medical care to promote long-term well-being for women laborers and their children.

The camp offered free diagnostic services including blood sugar, blood pressure, and thyroid screenings for women, alongside essential health assessments such as height, weight, and vital checks (eyes, nose, ears) for babies. By providing these services, the initiative aimed to address a critical gap in healthcare access for women and children in labor-intensive sectors.

“Many underprivileged mothers lack access to proper care during and after pregnancy, leading to avoidable complications for both mother and child,” said Mr. Kanishk P Jha, Facility Director at Motherhood Hospitals, Kharadi. “This camp not only helped identify health issues early but also created a safe space for women to seek guidance and gain control over their reproductive and general health.”

The initiative also served as an educational platform, raising awareness about common health concerns such as anemia, hypertension, and thyroid disorders in women, as well as low birth weight and developmental issues in children. Organizers stressed the importance of routine check-ups and encouraged women to seek timely medical attention.

Dr. Hc Saravjeet Kirad, member of the Kharadi Women's Organisation, praised the initiative, saying, “Women are the pillars of every family. They bring new life into the world, and their health directly shapes the future. Through such initiatives, we strive to ensure every mother gets the care and attention she truly deserves.”

The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from the local community. Many attendees expressed gratitude, pledging to prioritize their health and that of their children moving forward. The event highlighted the pressing need for more grassroots-level healthcare initiatives, especially in marginalized communities.

Motherhood Hospital reaffirmed its commitment to making quality maternal and child healthcare accessible to all, pledging continued collaboration with community organizations to bring impactful health programs to those who need them most.
