Nadda Commends National Health Policy and Ayushman Bharat Scheme
JP Nadda, the National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party, praised the National Health Policy and the Pradhan Mantri Jan Aarogya Yojna for their significant impact on delivering healthcare services to the common man.
Addressing the audience at the Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar Center in Delhi during the Sushasan Mahotsav, Nadda emphasized the importance of the National Health Policy, which was formulated through extensive consultation with various stakeholders. He highlighted the transition from curative to preventive and promotive healthcare, along with the integration of geriatric and palliative care, emphasizing the importance of comprehensive healthcare services.
The policy's significance lies in its integration of allopathic and Ayurvedic practices, facilitating collaboration between doctors from both fields under one roof, enabling patients to access various forms of treatment at a single health center.
Nadda also commended the Pradhan Mantri Jan Aarogya Yojna, stating that it provides substantial relief to underprivileged individuals by offering cashless free treatment of up to Rs 5 lakh annually to approximately fifty crore beneficiaries nationwide. Moreover, beneficiaries from any state can avail themselves of these benefits anywhere in the country.
