The event, held under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare's slogan, "20 years of celebrating giving: Thank you, Blood donors," saw the participation of 50 individuals who donated blood after undergoing proper screening.

The drive was inaugurated by Deputy Director General (HRD) of the ICG, Inspector General T Sashi Kumar, and the Head of the Department of Transfusion Medicine at AIIMS, Dr. Hem Chandra Pandey. Their presence underscored the importance of the event and highlighted the commitment of the ICG to community health initiatives.

Extending beyond New Delhi, the ICG's blood donation campaign reached various locations across the country, including Gandhinagar, Porbandar, Okha, Paradip, Goa, Jakhau, Mundra, and Frazerganj. This widespread campaign aimed to recognize and thank the voluntary donors whose selfless acts are vital in providing life-saving support to millions of people. Their contributions play a crucial role in maintaining a robust and responsive healthcare system.
