Healthcare Startups to Benefit from New Budget Provisions, Says NeuroEquilibrium Founder

The recent budget provisions for the healthcare startup sector have been met with optimism, particularly regarding the emphasis on research and development. Mr. Rajneesh Bhandari, Founder of NeuroEquilibrium, praised the operationalization of the Anusandhan National Research Fund and the establishment of a financing pool of one lakh crore rupees for private sector-driven research and innovation.

“These measures are steps in the right direction, fostering a culture of innovation and enabling startups to develop cutting-edge healthcare solutions,” said Bhandari. However, he stressed the importance of ensuring that these funds are easily accessible to startups without being hindered by bureaucratic obstacles. “Collaboration between the government and the private sector will be key to realizing the full potential of these initiatives,” he added.

Bhandari also highlighted the positive impact of abolishing the angel tax, which he believes will help healthcare startups raise much-needed capital. The budget’s focus on supporting research, innovation, and funding accessibility is seen as a significant boost for the healthcare startup ecosystem, paving the way for advancements that can address critical health challenges in India.
