Chintan Shivir 2025: Pioneering Solutions for Women and Child Welfare
The Ministry of Women and Child Development (MoWCD) is set to host a transformative three-day Chintan Shivir from January 10 to 12, 2025, in the picturesque city of Udaipur, Rajasthan. This landmark event aims to address pressing challenges in the welfare and development of women and children across India, bringing together a diverse group of stakeholders, including senior officers from the Central and State Governments, policymakers, and dignitaries.
Driving Change Through Collaborative Dialogue
The Chintan Shivir will be inaugurated by Smt. Annapurna Devi, Union Minister for Women and Child Development, who will lead discussions on innovative approaches to tackle critical issues. Joining her are Smt. Savitri Thakur, Minister of State for Women and Child Development, and Rajasthan’s leadership, including Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma and Deputy Chief Minister Smt. Diya Kumari. Ministers from Women and Child Development Departments across States and Union Territories will also participate, emphasizing a unified national effort.

The event will spotlight the Ministry’s key initiatives, including Mission Vatsalya, Mission Shakti, and Mission Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0. Mission Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0: Strengthening Anganwadi centers to provide integrated services for nutrition, health, and education.
Mission Vatsalya: Enhancing child welfare through improved childcare institutions, foster care, adoption, and aftercare services.
Mission Shakti: Tackling issues such as women’s safety, child marriage, and leveraging technology to empower women, including the expansion of the SHe-Box portal.
