Bridging Minds and Technology: Conference Launches RELIEF App for Student Mental Health
In an effort to address growing mental health challenges among students, Manasik Shakti Foundation organized a one-day conference on “Mental Health Challenges in Students and Digital Innovation” at the Constitution Club in Delhi. The event brought together academicians, policymakers, mental health experts, and students to discuss the evolving role of technology in improving mental well-being.
A key highlight of the conference was the launch of the RELIEF app, developed by the Manasik Shakti Foundation, designed to provide accessible and personalized mental health support to students.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Amresh Shrivastava, Founder of Manasik Shakti Foundation, emphasized the transformative potential of digital tools in mental healthcare. “Digital technology can play a vital role in making mental health services more effective and accessible. The RELIEF app is one such solution aimed at offering students easy access to mental health assessments, self-help techniques, and expert counselling services,” he said.
Dr. Shrivastava elaborated on the app's key features, including AI-based psychometric screening, personalized mental health reports, stress management resources, and referrals to professional help when required.
The conference featured panel discussions, workshops, and presentations that focused on integrating artificial intelligence, mobile apps, and digital health platforms to make mental health support more scalable and impactful for the student community.
The event was inaugurated in the presence of eminent health experts and academicians, including Dr. B. N. Gangadhar from the National Medical Commission, Prof. Rajesh Sagar from AIIMS, Dr. Savita Malhotra from the Indian Psychiatric Society, MP Dr. Dinesh Sharma, Dr. Shrikant Shinde, and Prof. Subodh Dave from the Royal College of Psychiatrists, UK. Experts hailed the initiative as a significant step toward addressing the mental health needs of students.
Students and educators present at the conference shared their own experiences, underlining the importance of adopting digital mental health solutions and encouraging policymakers to address emerging mental health challenges in educational institutions. Discussions also focused on how universities and schools can work collaboratively to expand the reach of digital mental health tools.
With the successful launch of the RELIEF app, the Manasik Shakti Foundation has taken a decisive step toward strengthening mental health services for students. The Foundation plans to extend the reach of the app to more schools and universities in the coming months, ensuring that mental health support becomes more accessible, effective, and comprehensive across educational institutions.
