Itopride is a medication that belongs to the class of prokinetic agents, which means it aids in gastrointestinal motility and helps manage conditions related to delayed gastric emptying. Itopride hydrochloride is the active ingredient in the medication, which combines prokinetic and anti-emetic properties. Itopride works by enhancing the release of acetylcholine, thus improving gastrointestinal motility and relieving symptoms of functional dyspepsia and other gastrointestinal disorders.
