Venus Remedies Bags Large Order from UNICEF

UNICEF has awarded a sizable tender to Venus Remedies Limited, a leading pharmaceutical company operating on a global scale, to provide the dry powder version of the antibiotic ceftriaxone. This follows three months after the company received the highly sought-after Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) certificate from the UN Agency.

The beta-lactam antibiotic ceftriaxone is effective against many different types of harmful bacteria. The global market value exceeded USD 2.2 billion by 2031 and reached USD 1.7 billion in 2021, demonstrating its relevance. Venus Remedies' extensive antibiotic portfolio, which includes ceftriaxone, enables effective treatment of a wide range of illnesses.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has endorsed the Pan American Health Organisation (PAHO), another public health organisation that has secured a contract from Venus Remedies. The firm's delivery of important cancer treatments, including bleomycin, carboplatin, cisplatin, and others, will significantly impact Latin American healthcare.

All of these achievements prove that Venus Remedies is an indispensable ally in the fight for healthcare throughout the world. "Our partnership with PAHO signifies a turning point in our dedication to offering cutting-edge cancer treatments to people who are in critical need," said Saransh Chaudhary, President of Global Critical Care at Venus Remedies. Our steadfast commitment to achieving excellence and bettering global health outcomes is evident in the agreement we secured with UNICEF.

In fiscal year 2023–2024, India's pharmaceutical industry exported over USD 16 billion worth of generic drugs, making it the world’s largest provider of these medications. Twenty per cent of the generic medications exported globally come from India. One example of India's growing influence in international healthcare is Venus Remedies, a prominent player in this sector, especially in the cancer market.

Ms. Aditi K. Chaudhary, President of International Business at Venus Remedies, highlighted the significance of these tenders. She said, "This much-coveted endorsement from UNICEF is a significant prospect for Venus' mission of contributing to global health." The Latin American area is facing significant challenges in cancer treatment, and our relationship with PAHO shows our dedication to helping them.

With more than 800 marketing authorizations worldwide and 25 international GMP certifications, Venus Remedies is swiftly becoming a pharmaceutical industry leader. By providing low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) with access to inexpensive, high-quality drugs, the business is well-positioned to become a global leader in health equity. It works in more than 90 countries.
