World Kidney Day 2025: Free Health Camp to Promote Early Detection

On World Kidney Day 2025, the Aagam Shri Foundation and Must & More Super Speciality Diagnostic Centre in Rohini have collaborated to organise a special health camp to raise awareness about kidney health and encourage early diagnosis of kidney illnesses.

As part of this effort, three key kidney tests—Kidney Function Test (KFT), Complete Blood Count (CBC), and Thyroid Profile—will be provided at no cost, with a 50% discount on other diagnostic procedures. The health camp is slated for March 13, 2025, at the Must & More Super Speciality Diagnostic Centre in Rohini, New Delhi.

Dr. Rakesh Gupta, Director of the Must & More Super Speciality Diagnostic Centre, emphasised the significance of early detection in avoiding kidney-related issues. "Through this initiative, we want to make people aware of kidney health so that they can take necessary steps on time," he told me.

The Aagam Shri Foundation, noted for its commitment to organ donation, has made substantial contributions in this area. The foundation has successfully sponsored four cadaver transplants, one skin donor, and several eye donations. Furthermore, it has started an online pledge campaign in partnership with the National Organ and Tissue Transplant Organisation (NOTTO) to promote organ donation and encourage public engagement.

This collaboration endeavour between the Aagam Shri Foundation and the Must & More Super Speciality Diagnostic Centre is consistent with the larger goal of promoting a healthy lifestyle through early identification and preventative treatment. By making these tests available to the general public, the effort hopes to provide individuals with critical health information, ultimately lowering the societal burden of kidney disease.

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a major public health concern in India, with late-stage identification frequently resulting in costly treatments like dialysis or organ transplants. Early screening and prompt management can greatly improve outcomes, making such awareness campaigns essential.
