Paras Health has announced the appointment of Mr. U.P. Singh, a distinguished veteran of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), as an Independent Director on its Board. With over 37 years of exemplary service and extensive expertise in governance, policy formulation, and strategic management, Singh brings a wealth of experience to Paras Health.

Throughout his career, Singh has directed public sector enterprises and served on the boards of major corporations, including Maharatna and Navratna companies. His vast experience is expected to provide invaluable oversight and strategic direction for Paras Health's continued success. Singh's extensive public service background will also offer valuable insights into delivering exceptional healthcare services to the public.

Mr. U.P. Singh retired as Secretary to the Government of India, Ministry of Textiles, in October 2022. During his tenure, he spearheaded initiatives like the PLI Scheme for Textiles and PM-MITRA Park, contributing to record-high textile exports. Prior to this, he served as Secretary of the Department of Water Resources, River Development, and Ganga Rejuvenation, leading initiatives such as Namami Gange, Jal Jeevan Mission, and Swachh Bharat Mission-II.
